Why are Pagani so rare? ›

Pagani cars are known to be one of the most expensive cars, as they are sold at a starting price exceeding one million dollars, but what makes them so expensive? Well, firstly, Pagani cars are handmade in Italy. Every single car is made by a team of highly skilled craftsmen, which takes a lot of time and effort.

It's pretty hard to start a story about the Pagani Huayra Codalunga with anything other than the price: €7 million. That equates to about $11.5 million, and is exclusive of freight, duties and taxes.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The price of the 2020 Pagani Huayra starts at $3,400,000. The Huayra's sole trim is the BC roadster, a convertible with enough fire and flash to stir the hearts of the brand's longtime devotees.

You cannot legally drive a Pagani Zonda in the US. There are several (approximately 10) in the US that get driven periodically. Most are here under “Show and Display” titles granted by the EPA and DOT. This permits them to be driven up to 2,500 miles per year.
